Paris Fashion Week Spring 16 Trends

The glamorous city of high fashion had a lot of offerings for spring/summer 2016. We saw a lot of denim return to the runways of Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Guy Laroche amidst a sprinkling of metallic confections. Here are some of the trends Paris has on offer for Spring/Summer 2016.

Tiers. From collars to hemlines to all-over tiers, ruffles and frills added a feminine flair to the Spring collections.

Denim. A trend staple that never goes out of fashion made a stopover on the runways of Paris for Spring 2016.

Lingerie Inspired Looks. Slip dresses, baby doll dresses and rompers moved out of the bedroom this season in Paris.

Mesh Overlays. Mesh overlays gave breathy covering to cropped top pairings and sometimes came in dresses at the Paris Spring 2016 shows.

Layered Looks. First seen on the catwalks at New York then Milan, layered looks made a final stop in Paris Spring 2016.

Cropped Wide Leg Pants. Wide leg pants continue to have people in enthral and the latest styling to this roomy trend is a wide cropped leg.

Shoulder Cut-outs. Seen on all the runways from Milan to London, the shoulder-cut out trend is shaping out to be Spring 2016’s most loved trend.

Side Slits. The side slit revealed more flesh than expected and will be more envogue come Spring 2016.

Slim Belts. Slim belts emphasized waists on the runways of Elie Saab, Alessandra Rich and Chanel.

Colourful Stripes. Designers in Paris made bold graphic statements with colored stripes in floral shapes and lines.
