London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 Trends

Designers in London took the experimental route with proportions as majority of collections featured over-sized shoulders, dresses and skirts with black and white being the standout color.

Graphic Black and White - Black and white was the background to different prints and patterns on the runways of London.

Ruffles - Ruffles underscored the feel of romanticism and 90s vibe going on in London as seen at J.W. Anderson, Erdem and  Preen.

High Cut Necklines - New York maybe all about the Halter - neckline but London designers preferred the high cut neckline with some collections featuring polo-necks.

Patchwork - As seen on the runways of New York, patchwork fabrics and prints made it onto the runways of London to become a trend to watch out for next season.

Shoulder Cut-Outs - The shoulder is the new erogenous zone this season as majority of London collections featured this off-the-shoulder detailing that was sexy without being revealing.

Volume - There was an air of experimentation with proportions when it came to London as several collections showcased over-sized ensembles in light weight fabrics.

Belted - Emphasis went to the waist with both slim and wide belts at DAKS, Osman and Amanda Wakeley.

Wide Leg Pants - The new trouser shape for next season is a wider leg as seen at Paul Smith, Christopher Kane and Joseph.

Colored Stripes - Stripes made their way onto the runways of London in a series of bright colors and patterns.

High Metal Shine - London saw a blend of metallic in florals and sequins proving that next season it is all about standing out.
