The 2014 GRAMMY Music Awards.

Red carpet season rumbles on with the Grammy awards as all eyes were on Beyonce and Jay Z who kicked off music’s biggest night with their first live performance of duet Drunk In Love. The couple were the first in a long list of performers including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams. Unlike more buttoned up events like the Golden Globes, the Grammys anything goes dress code often inspires Hollywood’s best dressed to ditch the fancy gowns and opt for all things short and sparkly, and this year was no exception. Here’s a look at the most outstanding trends of the evening.

Molten Metallics. Stars grabbed attention in shimmering gold and silver dresses, making metallics a top trend of the evening.
